While Fandom plotted and planned, the vampires had not sat idle. They had been building their ranks, taking over more of the city; getting ready for an assault.

Attack was the best defense, wasn't it?

The ferals remained difficult to keep in any orderly line, but the lords didn't fear it. They stood on the rooftop an apartment building, surveying the chaos. Yesterday, they'd only made enough fledgelings to take over a city block.

The feral vampires assembling on Union Square below? Oh, their numbers were large. And they were growing.

The sun hadn't quite sunk beyond the horizon, but by the time Fandom's team of scouts arrived, twilight had set on Baltimore. At first, everything seemed normal, people going about their lives, restaurants filling up and workers returning to their homes.

But the closer they came to city center, the... quieter it got.

And quieter.

And... where had everyone gone? All the curtains were shut. No one was out on the street. What was going on here?
